Featuring simplicity of form with maximum function, Scrivette is the perfect desk for the home office as well as for your child's bedroom. The desktop has been designed to feel generous for someone working on a laptop, allowing space to spread notes and books out around the desk, whilst being considerate of not occupying too much space in a bedroom or study.
The curved edge of the desktop is a pleasing tactile experience as you open the lid to reveal two generous storage compartments to store documents, laptop, objects, photos…all that you need or simply desire to be productive. The desk lid enables you to fully utilise all the storage space within the desk, rather than losing bits and pieces at the back of a drawer.
The wooden pivot hinge underneath is a beautiful detail element and is a contemporary nod to artisan craftsmanship. The raised back surface enables you to lay down open books and continue reading while working.
Baltic birch is used for the desktop. It is a material we love for its stability and beauty and it is married with the warmth of solid Tasmanian oak legs. We feel that the combination of these materials exemplifies a Japanese aesthetic concept of wabi: simplicity and quietude incorporating rustic beauty.
