Continuing our love affair with wood, the Slow Bed contrasts the clean, buttery tones of Birch with the richness and warm hues of Tasmanian Oak. Crafted from durable and time-tested materials and made with love in Melbourne all materials are sustainably sourced and protected for long life with a plant-based eco finish.
The slow bed embodies a quiet understated aesthetic and is a testament to slow living and simplicity.
We have designed the Slow Bed with concise detailing that offers a nostalgic nod the masters of mid-century design. By rejecting complicated and unnecessary details that can add noise and busyness to a design, in a subtle way the Slow Bed encourages us to take stock of the world around us, as we endeavour to live (and sleep) slow.

Made in Melbourne
Years in the making and designed to endure beyond fast trends, the Slow Bed is designed by Plyroom in our Melbourne studio and proudly made by right here in Melbourne. We partner with local small businesses, like ours, who are passionate about what they do.
All timber sourced is made from sustainably forested beautiful Birch, both warm and timeless. We love Birch for its gorgeous tone and structural stability. Our birch ply comes from either Finland or Russia depending on the harvest that year, making sure to never over-harvest an area. The Slow Bed is punctuated by sustainably harvested Tasmanian Oak legs, which offer a striking aesthetic deviation on the bed.
