A quiet understated aesthetic coupled with utility, the Slow Bed is a testament to slow living and simplicity.
Embodying Plyroom’s ethos of slow living, simplicity and timelessness, the Slow Bed is honest in design with concise detailing that offers a nostalgic nod design masters of mid-century design. By rejecting the complicated notions of modern life, Slow Bed encourages us to take stock of the world around us, as we endeavour to live (and sleep) slow.
Continuing our love affair with wood, the Slow Bed contrasts the clean, buttery tones of Birch with the richness of Tasmanian Oak. Crafted from durable and time-tested materials and made with love in Melbourne all materials are sustainably sourced and protected with a plant-based eco finish.

Made in Melbourne
Years in the making and designed to endure beyond fast trends, the Slow Bed is designed by Plyroom in our Melbourne studio and proudly made by right here in Melbourne. We partner with local small businesses, like ours, who are passionate about what they do.
All timber sourced is made from sustainably forested beautiful Birch, both warm and timeless. We love Birch for its gorgeous tone and structural stability. Our birch ply comes from either Finland or Russia depending on the harvest that year, making sure to never over-harvest an area. The Slow Bed is punctuated by sustainably harvested Tasmanian Oak legs, which offer a striking aesthetic deviation on the bed.
